In some cases the use of powered access via a cherry picker will be required particularly for properties with limited access or ones with sensitive and aged tiles and listed buildings.

On the agreed start date and with the access equipment in place the contractor team will disconnect all downpipes from the guttering system to remove any possibility of moss and other substances blocking sub surface drainage systems, all sensitive ground floor areas will be sheeted up to protect against potential heavy moss fall.

The contractor will pressure wash the entire roof structure utilising the variable pressures available via the professional level power washing machine,the cleaning is conducted in a "top-down" operation to restrict the opportunity of water ingress underneath the roof tiles. The contractor will take note of any roof tiles emerging from the layers of moss that will be replaced at the next stage of the roof refurbishment process along with any other roof repairs that maybe required.

With the entire roof structure cleaned down the contractor will lightly pressure wash all walls, windows, soffits, fascias and gutters of any residual remnants whilst a ground based operative will ensure the site is cleaned and all detritus bagged and removed at the days end.

This completes the clean and the roof repairs or after a suitable drying time the roof coating can now all be carried out.
